Indiana Hit and Run Leads to Fatal Motorcycle Crash
Upon arrival police found only the motorcycle and the motorcycle driver who was lying in the street. The car involved in the accident reportedly stopped briefly and then fled the scene north on US 31. It was reported that the motorcycle was traveling west through the intersection when the car , which was traveling east, turned in front of the motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, Ronald S. Obsitnick Jr., 42 years of age from Lebanon, Indiana, was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Obsitnick Jr. suffered severe head trauma and was not wearing a helmet.
The investigation is being conducted by the Hamilton County F.A.C.T. team.The vehicle that fled the scene is described as a small black two door sports car with a spoiler on the back. The vehicle should have extensive damage to the right side (passenger side).
